Illinois EPA completed the field investigation in July 2016. Since that time, the Illinois Department of Military Affairs has been in the process of soliciting a contractor to address the contamination and begin construction of the parking lot. As of fall 2018, no construction work has begun however, it is believed that a contract has been signed and funding is in place to begin work.
