Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property encompasses approximately 2.6 acre of land and is improved with a single-story, masonry and brick building constructed in about 1950, which occupies an approximately 65,000 square feet footprint. Historical operation of a clothing related manufacturer (Dunlap Industries and Spartan Industries) on subject property from at least 1952 to 2011 included the use of paints and solvents, petroleum products, approximately 2,000-gallon fuel oil AST, and onsite subsurface septic system used prior to city sewer service becoming available in the mid-1960s. The most recent occupant of the subject property was Dunlap Industries (zipper manufacturer) which occupied the subject property from approximately the mid 1980�s to 2011. TDEC issued a Notice of Violation (NOV) letter to Dunlap Industries in 2006 requiring analytical documentation for, and clean-up of, contaminated soil related to leaking and staining observed during an inspection. No information was found in the historical records to indicate a response to the NOV or that the DSWM requirements were performed. The structure is currently vacant and has been unoccupied since 2011.
