Property Highlights

Historic building on Oregon State Hospital Campus planned for re-use as affordable housing.

Former Use: The 51,720-square-foot Yaquina Building was constructed in 1947 as part of the former Oregon State Hospital (OSH) North Campus. The Yaquina Building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as contributing to the OSH Historic District. The building is three stories including the basement and was historically used as the nurses� quarters for OSH through approximately 1971. The building was used as office space by the Oregon Department of Human Services from 1979 until 2016. At the time of the reconnaissance on August 11, 2017, the building was vacant. The site is currently owned by OR Dept. of Administrative Services.
