Notice must be provided to excavation and general contractors working in areas of contamination at the subject property that the soil and/or groundwater are impacted by concentrations that exceed applicable regulatory cleanup criteria. Contractors will be required to utilize workers engaged in subsurface work in contaminated areas of the subject property to be trained in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.210.

A concentration of chromium was identified in the soil sample collected at SB-4 (0.5 feet bgs) above the Part 201 Residential and Nonresidential cleanup criteria. Therefore, surface cover (i.e. existing asphalt) will be maintained in this area to prevent inhalation of subsurface particulate material in exceedance of the Part 201 Residential and Nonresidential PSI cleanup criteria

Additional Property Attributes

Interior renovation of current building for use as office and warehousing.

Former Use: Standard and other historical sources were able to document the subject property was developed prior to 1940 with agricultural fields in the northern and western portions, and a portion of a fallow orchard throughout the remainder of the subject property. The orchard area was replaced with an agricultural field between 1940 and 1949. Agricultural activities ceased between 1952 and 1956, and the subject property consisted of vacant land until construction of the western portion of the current building in 1967. The eastern portion was constructed as an addition in approximately 1985. The subject property was occupied by CH Busch, Inc., a metal brazing operation, from 1967 until at least 1984, Pacesetter Equipment and Rietsch Real Estate in at least 1986/1987, Peco Corporation, a car wash system manufacturer with limited machining and metal assembly operations, from at least 1989 until 1998, Trevco Sportswear, Inc./Logovision with office and warehousing/distribution activities from 1999 until at least 2014, and has occupied by Blue Wheel Media since 2014
