Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Property is in a commercial area at the southern edge of downtown Vancouver. It is bounded by Columbia Street to the east, Esther Street to the west, Columbia Way to the south and an active BNSF right-of-way to the north. The center of the Property is located approximately 600 feet north of the Columbia River, 700 feet west of Interstate Highway 5, and 500 feet south of Vancouver City Hall. The Property includes portions of two tax lots as well as interlaying property to which no tax number has been assigned. The Property was occupied by an asphalt paving plant from the 1940s through the early 1970s. Since the late 1970s, the Property has been vacant, or used for surface parking. The asphalt paving plant is the suspected source of petroleum contamination observed in soil during a recent sewer force main installation project on the Property. Asphalt plant operations ended nearly 20 years prior to current (City of Vancouver) and most recent previous (ANT, LLC) ownership of Property.
