Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Built in 1966 on 43.7 acres of industrially zoned land, the Greylock Mill is a former paper mill that included central receiving and storage areas, incoming materials warehouse, one paper machine producing topping and specialty papers, a converting area, and a finished product warehouse. The manufacturing wing of the building was built to accommodate a traveling bridge crane over the production machine. The ceilings are 50' high from the basement up. The building was designed for the specific purpose of manufacturing paper. Although the machines and other equipment no longer remain, the manufacturing wing still includes concrete tanks, pads, and large openings in the floor. Fine, high quality, light grade paper was manufactured at the Greylock Mill. Paper produced at the mill included bible paper and cigarette tipping paper. In the decade prior to closing the mills, a new market was tapped and the Mill began manufacturing the substrate base paper for laminating furniture. The mill remained vacant after closing in 2008 until purchased by Niagara Worldwide in 2014. In 2016 small portions of the mill were leased to two tenants.
