Additional Property Attributes

At the time of the reconnaissance, the Property consisted of approximately 2.0 acres of a 2.8 acre parcel of land developed with an approximately 5,328 square-foot, two-story main building and a former residence. The remainder of the Property was developed with paved parking and grass covered or landscaped areas. The area north of the Property was comprised of commercial and residential developments, the areas to the south and east were primarily agricultural, and the area to the west was industrial. Duke Energy provides electrical service, Vectren provides natural gas and Water Utilities, LLC provides water and sanitary and storm water services in the Property area. No recognized environmental conditions, controlled recognized environmental conditions, historical recognized environmental conditions or de minimis conditions were identified at the Property. No significant data gaps were identified as part of this assessment.

Former Use: 1871-1944 The Main Building was constructed in 1871 and operated as the County Poor Farm. A drive was located to the south and east of the Property from the road to the south. 1950-1989 The Property was similar to the previous years except the former residence was constructed in 1950. 1994-2017 The Property appeared similar to the condition noted during the site reconnaissance. The Property was owned by New Hope Center beginning in 2016. Prior ownership was the Knox County Commissioners.
