Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Property was an operating homeless shelter which contained five multi-family residential buildings (one of which housed a shared laundry room with washing machines and dryers), one shed housing maintenance supplies, and one managers office. The structures were constructed of block with metal roofs. The structures were generally in good condition. There were fifteen separate apartments divided between the buildings on the Property, each unit typically containing a bedroom/living room, small kitchen, and bathroom. The Property contained a playground and ramada area within a courtyard area. The Property contained native trees and shrubs, and concrete sidewalks. The first structure was reportedly constructed in 1941, and the remaining structures were built in 1947. A swimming pool was developed within the building area sometime between 1972 and 1980, but was later demolished between 2003 and 2007. Several motels operated on the Property from about 1950 and 1996, and the site appeared to be used from about 1996 through 2009 when the Primavera Foundation purchased the Property for use as a homeless shelter.
