Additional Property Attributes

The western parcel directly adjacent to the Sheboygan River was redeveloped in 2019. The $7 million project will consisted of 32-units of town homes. The eastern parcel is currently being redeveloped at this time as well in the amount of $500,000. Former Use: The Property, known as the Former Richardson Lumber Company, has a physical address of 822 North 14th Street and includes two separate parcels of land with parcel identification numbers of 59281500560 and 59281500570. Both parcels are currently owned by Richardson Industries Incorporated. The parcel identified as 59281500570 is approximately 0.97 acres in size and consists of one vacant approximately 4,200 square-foot building formerly used as a woodworking shop and material storage area and one approximately 17,200 square-foot building formerly used as a product showroom and storage area. This parcel is currently being redeveloped into a showroom and wharehouse for a local flooring store. The business expects to move in during the first quarter of 2020. The parcel identified as 59281500560 is approximately 1.65 acres in size and is now redeveloped into townhomes. The two parcels are not contiguous and are separated by North 15th Street. Geographically, the Property is approximately one mile west of Lake Michigan and directly adjacent to the Sheboygan River. Surrounding land use is a mix of industrial, commercial, and residential properties. Portions of the Property were likely originally developed for residential and commercial use (Ice House) prior to 1903. By 1949, the Property was occupied by a lumber company and used as a paint store, lumber storage facility, mill, and lumber distribution facility through at least the late 1980s. Additional occupants of the buildings included a building materials supply company and a furniture sales business. Both parcels have now been redeveloped.
