Additional Property Attributes

These parcels are part of a larger redevelopment proposal known as the Shipyard. The overall project, primarily located on nearby parcels (GB Western Rail and Riverfront Properties) will include the construction of a new outdoor events center, public waterfront amenities, dense mixed-use development, and parking. Cleanup of this specific site will be planned with future redevelopment. The City partnered with EPA on a reuse plan in 2020 for the South Broadway corridor, including this site. The reuse plan will guide future RFPs for redevelopment.

Former Use: Parcel 3-568-1 was part of a foundry which operated from the late 1870s to the 1970s. 511-513 S. Broadway was formerly occupied by a restaurant and store in the 1950s. 515 S. Broadway was formerly an auto/electric repair facility. 505 S. Broadway was occupied by a former filling station from at least the 1930s through 1990s. All properties are currently vacant.
