Additional Property Attributes

Site is an abandoned automobile radiator repair shop that operated from ~1936 - 2009. The Site is located in commercial/light industrial areas with limited residential in the area.

Former Use: The site is comprised of one 6,930 sq. ft. parcels. The parcel contains a 1,513 sq. ft. shop building. A chain link fence encloses the shop area east to the alley. Parcel 35163.2908 is located immediately south of the Site and owned by the same owner. It will be described in separate ACRES entry. Site surveys of the shop were conducted by the Washington State Department of Labor & Industry and Ecology in 2007 and 2008. In the Ecology assessment lead and cadmium were discovered in soil at concentrations greater than the MTCA Method A Cleanup level. Cadmium was detected at concentrations of 3.67 mg/kg and 6.11 mg/kg greater than the cleanup level of 2.0 mg/kg. Lead concentrations ranged from 1,120 mg/kg to 35,900 mg/kg greater than the cleanup level of 250 mg/kg. Ecology performed a Site Hazard Assessment ranking the site a 4. Cascade Earth Strategies performed at Phase II ESA at the Site in January of 2014, identifying lead and ACM inside the building, lead interior surface concentrations greater than TSCA standards, soil surface lead concentrations greater than cleanup standards, dangerous waste and petroleum contaminated soils in three tanks on the property and three containers of up to 55-gallons of unknown contents.
