The City deemed the building dangerous and demolished it following the completion of the Phase I ESA. The Boys and Girls Clubs will construct a Teen and Education Center on the site after acquisition. The City Council has committed $30,000 in federal Block Grant funding to the project. Former Use: Available historical documents list the 0.05-acre property as the following: dry cleaner in 1918, 1935, 1939, 1942, 1958, 1962, 1963, 1968, 1972, 1973, and 1976; restaurant in 1978 and 1983; beauty salon in 1987, 1988, 1992, 1993, 1995, 1998, 2000, and 2003; unlisted in 2008; beauty salon in 2010; and unlisted in 2014. Parcel currently contains an underutilized commercial structure primarily used for storage.
