Additional Property Attributes

Seven soil borings were distributed across the subject property. The boring locations were intended to focus on the areas to the west and south of the current residence because these areas would have most likely been the locations of features associated with the former filling station, such as USTs, a pump island, and product piping. That being said, the boring locations were also limited to areas that were accessible and free of structures, landscaping, and utilities. There were no observations in the field of potential petroleum contamination (e.g., soil staining, odors, etc.). Furthermore, a limited survey of the roperty using ground-penetrating radar did not identify any indications of underground storage tanks (USTs). Lead was detected in four soil samples, only one of which, the concentrations exceeded background criteria. Select PNAs were also detected in one soil sample, adjacent to the south side of the residence, all PNA concentrations were below cleanup criteria.

Former Use: From approximately 1935 through 1939, the subject property was developed with a filling station. The current residence was constructed in 1950, and the property has since been used as a residential property. The current owner of the property, Pat Bourdo, purchased the property in December of 1999 and operated a small gift shop out of the garage building at the site until 2006-2007. The site has been used as a rental property since that time.
