Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Property ? Filling station and automotive repair operations from approximately 1938 to 1966 with on-site use of three (3) underground storage tanks (USTs), resulted in a release of petroleum products and heavy metals to the Property. Underlying soil has been negatively impacted by ethylbenzene above State soil remediation ives. Levels of cadmium and chromium may also be above State soil remediation ives based on site soil pH. Underlying groundwater is impacted with several inorganics, including aluminum, iron, lead, manganese, and cadmium, above State groundwater remedial ives. The former on-site building limited assessment of additional source areas. Documented contamination has not been delineated and additional exposure pathways, including soil vapor, may be impacted. Adjacent Property ? There is a potential for a release of petroleum or petroleum-related products to have occurred from historical filling and automotive repair operations (approximately 1930-1955) on the east adjacent/neighboring site at 1901-1905 East Main Street. Given the up-gradient relationship to the Property, any contaminants released would have the potential to migrate onto the Property and negatively impact underlying groundwater and/or soil gas. Groundwater was evaluated as part of the May 2014 Phase II at the Property and found impacted with inorganics. Off-site contaminant sources cannot be currently dismissed. In addition, the following significant data gaps were encountered that have the potential to lead to the identification of additional RECs: ? The use of a pipe extending from the ground surface on the central section of the Property could not be verified. The pipe may be a fill pipe for an UST.
