A Restrictive Covenant (RC) was recorded with the Oakland County Register of Deeds on May 25, 2018, which prohibits future construction within the Restricted Areas exhibiting residual soil and/or groundwater impacts above the MDEQ Site-Specific and Vapor Intrusion to Indoor Air Criteria (VIAC) without appropriate evaluation of the vapor intrusion pathway and/or the use of engineering controls to prevent unacceptable exposures. In addition, the installation of water wells and/or the use groundwater within the relevant restricted areas has been prohibited.

Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The parcel identified as 205 Park Street was vacant land from 1961 until 1978 when the current building was constructed in the central portion of the parcel and a maintenance building and shed were constructed in the western portion of the parcel. Additions were constructed to the southeastern and northwestern portions of the current building between 1980 and 1990 and the building has operated as a freight terminal since initial construction. The former maintenance building was utilized for truck service and/or fueling operations from 1974 to 2017, when the building was demolished. Two USTs were formerly located to the east and south of the former maintenance garage that were also assessed during previous site investigations. The former parcel identified as 1300-1310 Livernois Road was vacant land from 1961 until 1969 when a restaurant building (1310 Livernois Road) was constructed in the northwestern portion of the parcel and a larger commercial building (1300-1304 Livernois Road) was constructed in the southeastern portion of the parcel. The restaurant building was demolished in 1977. An addition was constructed to the northeastern portion of the commercial building in 1976 and the building was demolished between 2015 and 2016. The former parcel identified as 1290 Livernois Road was vacant land from 1961 until 1971 when a building was constructed in the eastern portion of the parcel. This building was connected to the commercial building located at the parcel to the north identified as 1290 Livernois Road. The building was demolished between 2015 and 2016. The former parcel identified as 1200 Livernois Road was vacant land from 1961 until 1972 when a fast food restaurant was constructed in the northern portion of the parcel. The building was occupied by McDonald?s from initial construction until the building was demolished between 2014 and 2015.
