Additional Property Attributes

There is an artesian well within the building that pumps 400 gallons per minute of pristine water. The water is 52 degrees year round. Half of the well is owned by the owner of the property and half of the well is owned by another resident.

Former Use: The former Cook?s Garage is located at 426 Park Street North (Site) and was previously used as an auto shop since the 1950s. The two story building consists of approximately 30,800 square feet and is situated east adjacent to the Housatonic River. The Site was previously rented out for various uses including art studios but is currently vacant. The Town of Great Barrington is currently in the Land Court process of acquiring the Site for non-payment of taxes.
