Additional Property Attributes

At the time of the reconnaissance, the Property consisted four parcels that totaled approximately 0.91 acres of land. The Property was developed with two adjoining buildings (former Scarborough Produce and Woody?s Garage) along with a locked storage shed located along the south Property boundary. The remainder of the Property was developed with gravel, asphalt-paved or grass-covered parking areas. East State Street bordered the Property to the North and Little River bordered the Property to the south. An unnamed alley that extends south from East State Street and turns east behind the Woody?s Garage building bisects the Property. The former Scarborough Produce building consisted of an approximately 4,000 square foot, one-story building divided into an east and west portion. Woody?s Garage consisted of an approximately 15,500-square foot, one-story building with a basement. The main floor contained automotive service areas, offices, storage rooms, a paint booth, bathrooms and a loft used for parts storage. The basement contained storage areas and a boiler room.

Former Use: Beginning in 1883, the Property was utilized for commercial purposes. The past uses of the Property included a blacksmith shop, wagon repair shop, coal storage, a trucking company, a garage, auto repair and a poultry facility. Six gasoline tanks were located near East State Street between 1929 and 1946. From 1929 until the present, the Property has been used for poultry and auto sales and repair (Huntington Chrysler Plymouth, Huntington Motors, Woody?s Huntington Motors, AAA Towing).
