Additional Property Attributes

Old buildings on the property and/or surrounding Saab Park properties have been demolished, and the property is being redeveloped with an ampitheater, splash pad, improved ballfields, and parking lots for better recreational facilities for the City of Canton residents.

Former Use: The subject property is currently and has historically been wooded and undeveloped, and Batchelor Creek runs through the north portion of the subject property. The northwest adjoining property is cleared and vacant. The northeast adjoining property is developed with an industrial facility. The southeast adjoining property is developed with a park/recreational area developed with baseball fields, tennis courts, a basketball court, and a playground. The south adjoining property was developed with three vacant warehouses and was cleared and/or used for dumping of debris (concrete, wood, etc.). No petroleum product or hazardous substance dumping was observed. The south adjoining property was historically a brickyard (with brick kilns). The southwest adjoining property was developed with a vacant building, and tank saddles were observed. Historically, the southwest adjoining property was operated as an oil storage facility.
