Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site was developed with a railroad spur in 1908 and Columbus Brick and Tile in 1929. The site was later redeveloped in 1955 as the Georgia State Farmers Market. The site remained in operation until 2017. Columbus Towing and Recovery operated at the site since at least 2010. Property ownership was transferred from the State of Georgia to the Columbus Consolidated Government in January 2019. Asbestos containing materials were removed from the subject property. A building was demolished to remove a UST and excavate contaminated soil (below cleanup standards for the State of Georgia).
