Additional Property Attributes

The Property consists of twelve parcels totaling approximately 1.54 acres located in downtown Green Bay. The Property is currently utilized as a paved parking lot for the City of Green Bay. WDNR records indicated that fill material in this part of the City commonly contains various contaminants such as (RCRA) metals, PAHs, and VOCs which was found at the adjacent former Washington Commons Mall site. The City is currently considering redevelopment proposals for this site which include multi-story mixed-use developments with multi-family, retail, and office uses.

Former Use: The Property consists of twelve parcels totaling approximately 1.54 acres located in downtown Green Bay. The Property appears to have been utilized for a variety of commercial business from at least 1883 to 1982. Buildings appear to have been raised from the Property beginning in by 1977, with all buildings removed from the Property by 1982. After 1982, the Property appears developed as an asphalt parking lot. The Property is currently owned by Green Bay Redevelopment Authority. More specific property history information obtained from Sanborn Maps is described on pages 15-16 of the Phase I ESA Report.
