Additional Property Attributes

Working with the City of Cleveland in their mission to identify potential contaminated sites along The Opportunity Corridor, is a planned boulevard that will run from East 55th Street at Interstate 490 to East 105th Street in University Circle. The project is being managed by the Ohio Department of Transportation, the City of Cleveland, Greater Cleveland Partnership, and the Opportunity Corridor Partnership Office. The area between I-490 and University Circle has become known as the Forgotten Triangle due to the lack of economic activity. Outside of the transportation benefits it could bring to the Cleveland area, this effort opens the potential for new economic development, new jobs and a new identity for the community. The Opportunity Corridor encompasses nearly 1,000 acres on Clevelands southeast side and is anchored by University Circle and the Cleveland Clinic. This specific project was to consolidate information from previous environmental assessments along this corridor specifically in the zones the City of Cleveland identifies as" Super blocks". the data was compiled from reports on blocks 2:a/b/c; 3 a/b the resulting report noted potential Historic or existing Recognized Environmental Conditions(REC). It also identified the individual parcels on maps into 3 categories' by color overlay: Green for No/low potential of REC; Yellow for Potential REC; Red for High probability of potential for contamination. This report was issued 3/19/18 and revised 6/8/18.
