Property was assessed for Asbestos and LEAD prior to redevelopment of these two buildings Mapleside is an historic building home to the famous architect: Levi Scofield circa early 1900's. The second building constructed on the north side of the parcel (downhill from Mansion was constructed in 1950's as a nursing home. This building with an address of 2437 Baldwin is slated to be demolished while the Historic building at 2438 Mapleside will be renovated and reused.restore this historic building.

Former Use: 2438 Mapleside was designed and build by renowned Architect Levi Schofield for his private residence in 1898. Upon his death in the 1920's the property was deeded to the Catholic Church which utilized the home as a convent from the 1920's, to 1950 when it was converted to a Nursing home . In the 1960's the church dug out part of the northern part of the property and constructed a 4 story " Nursing home at the bottom of the hill with an address of 2437 Baldwin.
