Former Use: The ranch consists of 605 acres of land. The assessment focused on the area surrounding the mobile homes located to the north of the highway. The assessment found: -Potential asbestos containing building materials within the trailers and associated scattered debris. -Several old refrigerators and freezers associated with the trailers. -Above and underground storage tanks and distribution equipment throughout property. -Abandoned vehicles and associated batteries, fuel tanks, and engine blocks in borrow pits in southern portion of site. -Predominantly empty 55-gallon drums stockpiled and scattered throughout property. Labels not legible. -Mine tailings present in wash south of US Hwy 95. Given age of materials there is potential for tailings to contain significant concentrations of heavy metals. -Open mine shafts and addits along with associated waste rock dumps throughout site. -Evidence of ore processing conducted on site, with potential for residual process chemicals to be present.
