Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Available historical documents list the subject property as a gas lighting machine manufacturer in 1918, auto wrecking facility in 1939, 1942 and 1952 and junkyard in 1958 and 1963. A Sanborn map dated 1962 depicts a refuse dump and vacant land located north of the structure and a railroad siding crossing the southern portion of the property. Aerial photographs dated 1958, 1964, and 1970 depict a portion of the property being used as a surface parking lot. Historical aerial photographs depict a significant amount of fill being brought to enlarge the subject property?s land surface area between 1938 and 1952. The property has contained a surface parking lot and stormwater pump station since 1979.

Phase II ESA identified elevated diesel, PAH, and arsenic concentrations in soil. Groundwater concentrations identified elevated total extractable hydrocarbon (TEH) and PAH above applicable SWSs. Additionally, elevated VOC vapor concentrations above the industrial EPA RSLs identified in the sub-slab vapor sample.
