Additional Property Attributes

The property will be the new site of the Eastern Panhandle Transportation Authority as they expand their service needs. An underground storage tank investigation was performed by others historically to determine whether any residual contamination was present following UST removal that did not originally include sufficient sampling. It appears that the residual contamination was below de minimis standards.

Former Use: Past uses include a railroad freight house; a storehouse for agricultural implements, grain, wood and coal; a grain elevator; a feed store; and a grist mill. T. P. Licklider Agricultural Implements and Grain Elevator a dealer of animal feeds and fertilizers that included dissolved phosphate, acid phosphates, fish and bone mixtures, guano-based fertilizers. Southern States used the Site since about 1959 for its farm supply business which included grain processing and storage, bulk fertilizer storage, pesticide storage and mixing, retail gasoline sales, and propane sales.
