Property Highlights

Former Use: The subject property is a vacant commercial lot with two structures. The site includes an open shed along the eastern boundary of the site with cement flooring and office near the northwest corner of the site. The Phase I ESA was unable to identify all previous uses of the subject property and any associated environmental concerns. City directories list the site as EA Ware excavating contractors in 1962 and 1967, Houston and Smith Contractors and Construction in 1977, and Sargent Trucking in 1992 and 1995. Between November 1, 2019, and January 28, 2020, a Phase II ESA was conducted. Two USTs were found during the Phase II ESA. Soil samples were collected near the UST system. Barium, Chromium, and TPH-D concentrations were detected in soil. All concentration in soil were below the LDEQ RECAP standards.
