Additional Property Attributes

Charles McFarland, the potential property purchaser, hired an attorney to aid in Act 2 through the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Based on a new Phase I funded by this grant, Mr. McFarland will most likely purchase the property to move his company to the subject property. His company, Coventry Property Services, Inc. is a multi-million dollar complete property maintenance company that specialized in excavating, landscaping, snow removal, tree service, fertilization for businesses/corporate centers, etc. The property would have an office and storage capacity for trucks, etc. Mr. McFarland has the support of the Borough of Spring City and of local government officials. Spring City is an impoverished borough with a vital need for revitalization and redevelopment of abandoned and underutilized properties. (PPF - Hudak Property, 4/6/06)

Former Use: Prior to 1998 the property was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Righter and used as a retail home heating oil store, auto garage car crusher, metal junkyard, and used process sand dumpster from neighboring foundry. Currently used for storage and junkyard.
