Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Standard and other historical sources document that the northern portion of the subject property contained four residences in at least 1928, while the southern portion of the property consisted of vacant land. Three residences were demolished between 1928 and 1949, and one residence was demolished between 1953 and 1958. The property consisted of vacant land until the current commercial building was constructed in the mid-1970s (according to the current maintenance supervisor, Mr. Greg Thomason). Additionally, municipal water, sewer, and natural gas connection all occurred in 1978, which likely represents the time of construction for the subject building. Onsite operations have consisted of storage activities and light maintenance operations (including tire inflation and vehicle washing) since that time. According to former Sheffield City Schools Employee, and long-time resident of the area, Mr. Troy Hayes, all automotive servicing and fueling operations are currently, and have historically been performed offsite.
