Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site is currently unoccupied. The site is developed with a 86,400-square ft shed, wharf, and railroad tracks. The site was wetlands in 1891/1892, developed land in 1932, developed with multiple structures and railroad spurs on the northern portion in 1937, developed with the present-day shed and wharf since 1941, developed with the present-day railroad tracks along the western portion since at least 1950, cleared of structures on the northern portion since at least 1967, and cleared of the railroad tracks on the northern portion since at least 1992. Historical operations at the site include a cargo shed and laydown yard, a cargo terminal and break bulk container storage from at the 1940s to at least 2005. Railroad spurs were illustrated on the northern portion of the site from at least 1939 to at least 1992; and illustrated along the western portion of the site from at least 1950/1953 to at least 1998. A temporary paint structure, welding shop, and a fuel oil tank were depicted on the northern portion and railroad tracks were depicted along the western portion in 1950. A fuel oil tank and railroad spurs were depicted on the northern portion in 1983 and 1994. on March 2, 1984, a spill from a 1,100-gallon PCB oil transformer was reported.
