Additional Property Attributes

At the time of the site reconnaissance, the Property consisted of one parcel of land developed with an approximately 1,800 square-foot, one-story former tavern. The remainder of the Property was developed with asphalt-paved parking or grass-covered areas. Residential developments are located to the north, east and west and a municipal office/fire department building is located to the south. Locust Street borders the Property to the south and North 7th Street borders the Property to the west. The Property is serviced by the Town of Middletown for electrical service, water, sanitary sewers and storm sewers. The Property is serviced by Vectren for natural gas. Storm water in the area infiltrates into the ground surface or flows overland to adjoining roadways.

Former Use: In 1896, the Property was developed with four buildings that included two adjoining dwellings, a doctor�s office/commercial building and a millinery. In 1914, all of the buildings on the Property had been razed, aside from the commercial building in the southwest corner that was labeled as a grocery. The Property operated as a tavern from at least 1974 to 2017. At the time of the site reconnaissance, the Property consisted of one parcel of land developed with an approximately 1,800 square-foot one-story former tavern. The remainder of the Property was developed with asphalt-paved parking or grass-covered areas. The interior portions of the building consisted of a bar and seating area, bathrooms, a small food prep room and several storage rooms.
