Former Use: The Subject Site is located along West Gwinnett Street in the City of Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia, approximately 1.43 miles southwest of its city-center. The Subject Property consists of small portions of four parcels along West Gwinnett Street designated as a right-of-way for a proposed transportation improvement project. These portions of the parcels are identified as Tracts B and C. Historically, the surrounding area has been predominantly used as commercial and industrial space with intermittent residential developments throughout the area. The Chatham Steel Corporation lies to the northeast of the Subject Property and the City of Savannah Public Works and Vehicle Maintenance center lies within the immediate vicinity of Tract B. A trucking company was located on Tract C during the 1950s. 90% of the tracts are currently undeveloped.
