Additional Property Attributes

The subject property consists of one legal parcel occupying approximately 0.92 acres. The site is developed with a private residence and grist mill constructed in the 1870s and situated along the Crystal River. The property was recently acquired with redevelopment planning underway.

Former Use: The site is situated within an area of residential development in Glen Arbor. The site is developed with a grist mill and private residence constructed in the 1870s. Thomas Kelderhouse reconstructed the grist mill at the subject property in 1879. The mill opened for business in 1881. Frank and Matilda Bramer purchased the mill from Frank Kelderhouse in 1897 and continued its operations until 1945. From 1945 until 1964, the property was unused until it was purchased by Harold Longyear. Mr. Longyear then sold the property in 1970 to Fred Ball and Don Lewis, who utilized the grist mill as a recording studio. In 1986, the property was sold to Robert Kuras. Since that time until the recent purchase by Mr. W. Turner Booth, the property has been unused.
