Additional Property Attributes

The site was formerly was a used as an iron manufacturer, automotive repair and paint shop, Also historically adjoined by a railway and a fertilizer/pesticide/herbicide manufacturer. Based on the results of the soil assessment, COCs were not identified in soil samples collected at the site in excess of applicable Chapter 62-777, FAC Cleanup Target Levels (CTLs). Results of the groundwater assessment indicate that there were several groundwater samples collected at concentrations above Chapter 62-777, FAC GCTLs. The groundwater sampling results indicate all locations have iron impacts above its respective secondary drinking water standard of 300 ug/L. Three locations (TMW-1, TMW-3 & TMW-6) have additional metal impacts (arsenic, lead and chromium) above their respective GCTLs. One location (TMW-7) also has impacts of Nitrate/Nitrites and Ammonia above their respective GCTLs. The levels of metal contamination encountered at temporary monitoring well TMW-1 and TM-W3 are indicative of possible impacts to groundwater associated with the site?s former use as an iron manufacturer and automotive service garage. Contamination for Nitrate/Nitrites and Ammonia at temporary monitoring well TMW-7 is likely from off-site releases associated with the eastern adjoining properties historical use as a herbicides, fertilizer, and pesticide manufacturer. Recommendations: Engineering/Institutional Controls may be applicable for this site. Proposed site redevelopment should take into consideration that contaminant impacts have been identified in groundwater. Site workers should be informed that the contaminants have been identified. Construction dewatering operations may require specific permitting and/or treatment requirements if further groundwater assessment confirms an area of lead impacted groundwater. A groundwater management plan should be developed for excavation activities.

Former Use: The site was formerly was a used as an iron manufacturer automotive repair and paint shop Also historically adjoined by a railway and a fertilizer/pesticide/herbicide manufacturer.
