The Phase I Environmental Site Assessment idenfied free-phase petroleum extending to the upgradient edge of the site as a Recognized Environmental Condition. The petroleum release originated across Highway 93 to the west. A oil-water separator is present on site for the City of Ronan, and unknown sawcuts in asphalt indicate the potential presence of an on-site UST. Phase II assessment of the site did not identify any contaminant impacts to soil or groundwater.

Former Use: The 5-acre property sits at the busiest intersection in Ronan, Montana; along Highway 93, the tourist corridor from the interstate to Glacier National Park and Flathead Lake. Despite the excellent location, the tribally-owned property currently has an unused business, which has seen past operations as a cigarette store or fireworks stand.
