Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The north parcels of the Property are developed with two approximately 1,000 square foot, two-story multi-unit structures/former residences. The remaining grounds consist of concrete and asphalt paved vacant parking lot. A concrete footprint/foundation is observed near the center of the Property and is presumed to be related to a former coin-operated launderette. A concrete footprint is also present on the southeastern area of the Property and presumed to be a former radiator repair shop. Site history includes residential, radiator repair and auto service, car wash, coin operated launderette, salon, and antique shop. Past ownership includes Schafer Brothers Car Wash, Schafter Brothers Radiator Repair, MMT Properties, Midway Dry Cleaners (Robert Jackson), and Timothy Mowery (north parcels).

Phase II ESA work was completed in June 2019. The findings indicated total lead concentrations in shallow soil above Tier 1 soil ingestion and soil component to groundwater ingestion exposure. The property is currently covered with asphalt/concrete parking lot and building foundations, no open soil exposure. The City has worked with developers on proposed redevelopment; however, development has not yet occurred.
