Former Use: The subject property consists of a hangar/office structure that is situated on a 0.5-acre parcel of land. The structure encompasses approximately 16,900 square feet with an attached storage shed that encompasses approximately 60 square feet. Grassy areas surround the north, east, and west sides of the structure and asphalt paving is located on the south side. The 1938 historical aerial photograph indicates that the subject property was undeveloped and wooded land. Historical aerial photographs and topographic maps indicate that the property consisted of wooded land and a portion of an unpaved trail from at least 1949 to at least 1960. The 1967 and 1976 aerial photographs show the trail as a paved road. Property records indicate that the subject property has been developed with current structure since 1978. Historical records indicate that the structure was occupied by Clark Aircraft/Clark Aviation (aircraft support and maintenance) from at least 1989 to at least 2003, Bay Minette Aviation (aircraft dealer) and Blue Horizon, Inc. (aircraft servicing maintenance) in 2011, and Bay Minette Aircraft (aircraft dealer) in 2016. The structure is currently being used for storage.
