Additional Property Attributes

The earliest known development of the subject property dates to the 1887 Sanborn map, when a saloon and tin shop addressed as 401 and 403 Quay Street were located on the property. Other uses of the property labeled on Sanborn maps include general storage, pool room, barber, and second-hand store. The property was a filling and service station from at least 1950, when the property was redeveloped with the initial part of the current building and a Sanborn map shows three underground storage tanks (USTs) at the southeast corner of the building. In December 1958, several members of the Casello family sold the subject property to Anthony and George Cavis et al. The Cavises then redeveloped the property as the Cavis Grill.
