Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Based on our review of historical information, the Property appeared to be agricultural land from at least 1937 until 1949. One building was constructed on the Property between 1949 and 1955. Additions were constructed to the west and south portions of the building between 1955 and 1970. In addition, a second building was constructed southwest of the original building between 1955 and 1963. Historical information indicated that the buildings were used as a car dealership and repair facility from approximately 1955 until the late 1970?s. By 1983, the building was occupied by Fairway Discount Store and was operated as a retail store through the present. Historical records also indicated that a gasoline station was present on the northeast-adjoining site (1066 West Saginaw Road) from at least 1986 through 1995. The northeast-adjoining site was identified as a leaking underground storage tank site. At the time of the reconnaissance, the Property consisted of approximately 4.75 acres of land developed with an approximately 24,000 square-foot building utilized as a retail store and warehouse. A detached garage was located south and west of the main building. The areas north and east of the building consisted of asphalt and concrete parking areas. The remainder of the Property consisted of grass-covered land or wooded land. The Property had a private water well and was connected to a private septic system.
