Additional Property Attributes

The Property is currently used as storage for used electronics and appliances awaiting recycling at an offsite facility. The Property has multiple historic uses including a filling station and automotive repair garage, dwelling, and hand laundry business. There are two known closed remediation cases associated with the Property, both of which have been previously investigated, remediated, and closed with continuing obligations. There is also an open remediation case for a neighboring business (Tidy Cleaners and Laundry) across Broadway southwest of the Property. The City identified an underground storage tank and removed it in 2020 using local funds. A Phase II ESA is planned in the future to facilitate further cleanup and redevelopment.

Former Use: The Property is located in a predominantly commercial/industrial portion of downtown Green Bay. Since the late 1800?s the Property has been home to residential dwellings, a restaurant, and a hand laundry business. Multiple automotive repair/gasoline filling stations have also occupied the Property from approximately the late 1930?s through the late 1980?s. Today, two Property buildings are utilized as storage for equipment and various electronics and home appliances, including computers and televisions, while awaiting offsite recycling.
