Additional Property Attributes

A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) was completed for the subject property in December 2019. The ESA did not reveal evidence of recognized environmental conditions in connection with the subject property or with surrounding properties. A Hazardous Materials Survey will be conducted to assess potential hazardous materials, including asbestos, lead-based paint, and other hazardous materials on the property. ReStart provides homeless persons and families shelter and support services and intends to renovate the western structure to provide additional housing options for the homeless. Former Use: The subject property is bordered by 918 E. 9th Street on the east, 9th Street on the south, Missouri Department of Transportation right-of-way for Interstate-70 on the west, and an asphalt parking lot on the north. the structure is a three-story red brick building with a basement and sub-basement. The approximate 15,000 square foot building was constructed circa 1947 with one and two bedroom apartments. The subject property has served as a multi-tenant apartment building since 1947.
