Additional Property Attributes

The county is exploring tourism and recreational grant opportunities to develop these green space areas in a manner that can withstand repetitive flooding. Fishing access and trail development are planned. There are three brand new commissioners in place exploring these options. Climate mitigation and adaptation was accomplished by removing homes from the floodplain and restoring the natural floodplain and channel of the river in coordination with FEMA to address repeated flooding.
