Former Use: Home to Cincinnati's first department store, the former John Shillito & Co., the Shillito's West building retains the strong historic urban presence of Cincinnati's CBD and occupies the city block reinforcing the street grid and it's urban form. Situated at the corner of 7th and Elm, Shillito's West is part of the Race Street Historical District and features many Art Deco rudiments such as smooth wall surfaces, sharp edges, decorative precast facade elements, and elaborately designed stair railings
