Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site is located at the intersection of US Highway 301 and Mixson Street in Allendale, SC and consists of one parcel (TMS 105-04-04-001) encompassing approximately 0.42 acres. The subject property is improved with one (1) single-story structure covering approximately 3,000 square feet in area. The one (1) remaining on-site structure, a former automobile filling station, is in poor condition with a large portion of its roof caved in. The site is improved by apparent former dispenser islands associated with the gasoline filling station, located amid a concrete paved area, which covers approximately 11,000 square feet of the subject property. The site is not secured and can be accessed via US Highway 301 or Mixson Street. Utility supply for the site appears to be discontinued, but surrounding properties appear to be serviced via overhead power line and underground municipal water/sewer and telecommunications lines. The facility was last operated circa 1990. Underground storage tanks (USTs) for gasoline (not diesel) were formerly present at the site and were permanently closed via inert material fill subsequent to the last date of operation. Cleanup - asbestos abatement - is necessary. Soil and/or groundwater cleanup is unknown as additional sampling is necessary.
