Additional Property Attributes

The site is currently vacant and comprised of a 30 x 50-ft parcel of land improved with an approximately 1325 square feet warehouse structure built in 1950, identified in the Ulster County Image Mate Online database as tax map ID 56.43-4-38.130. According to the NYDEC Environmental Site Remediation Database, the Site was the location of the boiler house for the former Kingston Laundry facility. Two (2) fuel oil underground USTs for the boiler house were closed-in-place in 1997. In 2005, a 1,500-gallon LUST containing oil with 2% PCE was discovered at the property. Historical site investigations have detected fill materials containing coal fragments and concentrations of PCE in soil. Additionally, the site may have also been impacted by a fire at an adjacent former commercial facility and/or hazardous building materials. The property was acquired by the City of Kingston on December 28, 2018 via tax title taking. The property was previously owned by Kingston Trio, LLC.
