Additional Property Attributes

The Realty One site was originally a gas station which operated from 1940-1976. Underground storage tanks were removed in 1999. At that time a release was filed with the State of Montana. Additional site investigation has been completed and the site has been deemed eligible for cleanup funds from the Montana Petrofund. Approximately 190 cubic yards of impacted soil was removed from the tank basin at the time of tank removal, along with the contaminated sand found in the tanks. These soils were hauled to a local land farm at treated. Soil confirmation samples were collected from the walls and floor of the excavation showed that soils at the excavation floor and sidewall contained petroleum compounds at concentrations that exceeded DEQ Montana Tier risk-based cleanup levels. Removal and disposal of all contaminated soils at this site allow the site to now be reused as an office space in Glendive, Montana.
