Historically, there were USTs located in the southern Site area, near the loading docks. During UST removal in 1999, three USTs were removed from the Site. During the removal, holes and pitting were observed in each tank. Visual contamination was observed within the UST cavity. As a result of these findings, the Site was entered into the PADEP UST program (a subsection of Act 2). As a result of the Act 2 release of liability for the Site, there is an Environmental Covenant and Post-Remediation Care Plan for the Site. :

Additional Property Attributes

The most recent use of the Site was as a fiberglass door manufacturing facility operating under the names Overly Door and Tiger Door Companies. Door manufacturing occurred from approximately 2008 through 2018. Prior to fiberglass door manufacturing, the Site was utilized by Allegheny High Lift, which sold and serviced fork/high lifts. The Site is currently vacant. The assessment revealed no evidence of RECs in connection with the property. A CREC in the form of the former USTs in the southern Site area was observed.

Former Use: General Carbide purchased the property in 2019 from EGCWC Prior to that, he chain of ownership for the Site is as follows: � Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland County (EGCWC) purchased the property from W and J Scott Properties in June 2010. � W and J Scott Properties purchased the property from Allegheny Clarklift, Inc. in October 1991. � Greater Greensburg Development Corporation purchased the property from the Westmoreland County Industrial Development Authority in July 1980. � Westmoreland County Industrial Development Authority purchased the property from Robert and Mildred Fox in April 1973. � Robert Fox purchased the property from the estate of M. Lizzie Shoemaker in October 1962.
