Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The approximately 23,000 square-foot building is located at the southwest corner of Canal Street and West North Street in Township 9 North, and Range 3 East of the Canton, Mississippi Quadrangle USGS 7.5-minute Topographic Maps. The subject property is currently developed with a former cotton compress warehouse. A previous ACM survey was performed in the building; however, a recent fire destroyed a portion of the building. Therefore, an updated ACM survey is necessary for the owner to determine the asbestos abatement costs associated with the property and for the City of Canton to determine if the City should purchase the property. The property is located in an area characterized by comemrcial and residential uses. The adjoining properties currently consist of residences on southern, western, and northern adjoining properties and a vacant lot on the eastern adjoining property.
