Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property consists of three contiguous parcels of land totaling 0.74 acres. The property is currently developed with a single-story commercial structure, single-story residential structure, and a barn. The commercial structure is located on the north portion of the property, is currently occupied by Two Sisters Community Thrift Store, and was reportedly built in 1965. The residential structure and barn are located on the south portion of the property and were reportedly built in 1945 and 1972, respectively. The remainder of the subject property consists of grassy areas, landscaped areas, and gravel/asphalt/concrete parking/drive areas. Historical aerial photographs indicate that the subject property was undeveloped land in 1938. The northwest corner of the property was developed with a retail petroleum station from at least 1949 to at least 1971. The structure associated with the retail petroleum station is listed in the city directories as being used for storage by Ballard?s Radio & TV Service in 1980 and is listed as vacant in 1976 and 1985. The northwest corner of the property has been developed with a gravel/asphalt parking area since at least 1997. The northeast corner of the property was undeveloped land from at least 1938 to 1964 and has been developed with the current commercial structure since 1965. The commercial structure was occupied by Ballard?s Radio & TV Service from 1965 to at least 2016, Canal Industries (durable goods) in 2000, Community Hospice from at least 2006 to at least 2011, and vacant tenant space in 2018. The south portion of the property was undeveloped in 1938 and has been residential since 1945.
