Former Use: The property is located at 5614, 5622 and 5636 Shull Street in Bell Gardens, Los Angeles County 90201 (site). The Los Angeles County Assessor?s Parcel Numbers for the Site are 6227-034-900 through 6227-034-906. Berk Oil conducted asphalt mixing and oil distribution operations in the western portion of the site from approximately 1965 through 1989. Pacific Metal Craft (PMC) occupied the eastern part of the site from 1984 through the early 1990s and conducted metal and plastic parts fabrication. Six known underground storage tanks (USTs) and a sub-grade steam cleaning sump were used during their years of operation. A fire destroyed a significant portion of the former metal finishing facility, the business could not obtain the necessary funding to repair the structure and the property was sold to the City of Bell Gardens Redevelopment Agency (City) in 1992. Since the acquisition, the area has lain fallow and unused.
