Additional Property Attributes

The Property (MSB Parcel ID 80839) is comprised of a 10.5-acre parcel of land located south of the Parks Highway and Wasilla Lake, in a mixed-use area of Wasilla, Alaska. The Property is a catalyst site located within the Wasilla Train Depot & Parks Highway, Brownfields Area-Wide Planning Study.

Former Use: The Property was historically operated as a gravel mining and screening operation that supported a concrete batch plant historically located on the eastern-adjacent property between approximately 1965 until 2014. The City of Wasilla acquired the Property from the Smith-Hagen family in April of 2015. The Property is currently vacant and undeveloped and consists of graded coarse gravel and cobbles, with several piles of concrete rubble and ditches. The northern portion of the Property is relatively flat, while the southern portion of the Property is steeply sloped upward towards the south adjacent property.
